Game Server Password Reset Information

UO Lost Lands account registration

On UO Lost Lands, your account security is on your own hands. We have set up a password reset system to allow you to recover lost accounts, without needing to know your username or password.

When signing into the game, you will be encouraged and pestered to register your email address. If you wish, you can ignore the requests for you to register your account forever, and that is at your discretion. However, it will not be the job of staff to help you recover your account in the case of a lost username or password (see below, section titled "Lost Accounts" for further information on this).

When registering your email address, you will receive a code in your email inbox that you can use to register your account. This code is valid until you log out, and must be entered in game by typing [motd, and entering it on the email registration page. If you log out, you will need to enter your email address again and enter your code.

Once your email address is registered, you are now free to use our password reset page. The password reset page works in 3 stages:

• Enter your email address, and we will send you an email with all of your accounts listed, with reset links for each.
• From the email, click on the account that you wish to change the password of, and you will be sent to a password reset page for that account. The reset link will be valid until you either log in the game, or change your password.
• Enter the new password you desire.

Lost accounts

If you decide not to register your account, and find some day that you cannot remember your username and/or password, this would require the attention and work of staff to clear up. Although UO Lost Lands is free to play, the time that staff do get to spend on the shard is far better off spent on other work bettering the shard and not dealing with people who refuse to register their accounts.

As such, unless you are a prior donator/subscriber to the shard, there will be a required $20 donation to the shard before we will assist you with your password reset. This will still not guarantee the recovery of the account, as if there is no way you can prove you own the account, we will not assist you. You have been warned.
