...the talk about rares.
Now, I'm not asking anyone to share their secret spots since I have a few of my own, but it would be nice to share confirmation that certain things exist on this server and can be acquired. So I am going to share a list of the things I've found so far. I'm also going to post a list of the things I'd like confirmation if anyone has actually picked them up yet.
Rares/semi-rares/uncommon items I have found:
- Thin hay
- Thick hay
- Bridle
- Horseshoes
- Horse dung
- Small waterbucket with handle, can be used as a container
- Wire coils in copper, silver, gold, iron
- Forged metal
- Silver ingot
- Iron ingot(s), reversed
- Dirty pots and pans, various depictions
- Playing cards
- Rope coils
- Unstackable chisel sets, left and right facing
- Yarn ball with no tail
- Yarn ball with tail, but not player/vendor style
- Foodof various types that can't be purchased from vendors or made by player
- Twisted lockpicks
- Arrow shafts that aren't player or vendor style
The things I would like to know if others have found yet:
- Fruit basket, full
- Basket or bushel, empty (can be used as container)
- Whip
- Shackles
- Cannonballs
- Anchor
- Rock/rocks
- Sandstone or marble table
Most of the things I've found so far wouldn't be considered particularly rare back in the day on an OSI shard, but since I don't know the rarity of the items here it would be nice if we could collaborate to at least confirm if we find one of them. Thanks, guys!

Quick Fix to missing settings since Patch 11 |

After the most recent patch you may have noticed certain saved settings, like spell icons, reverted to default. This seems to have happened because the server name in the shard browser changed from "UO Lost Lands" to "Lost Lands". Luckily none of the data is lost, you just need to copy over the data to the new folder.
You might find the data located somewhere like this:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ultima Online\Desktop\Your Account Name\UO Lost Lands\Character Name
Simply make a duplicate of the "UO Lost Lands" folders and their content, one for each account name, and then rename it to simply "Lost Lands".

Patch 11 - 11/11/14 - Tinker Chests, Cooking |

Platinum
- Overall platinum drops from monsters has been significantly buffed. Dungeon chests and treasure map chests are untouched.
Combat
- Equipping a weapon will no longer disturb your spellcasting.
Player Vendors
- The charge per day on player vendors has been slashed to account for our current population. I have not currently looked into what the accurate prices are, so the old prices weren't necessarily accurate. It will be looked at as our shard grows.
- You can no longer tell what level a treasure map is by putting it on a vendor.
Escortables
- Escortables now tend to spawn around the edges of towns, and docks, instead of only docks.
- All escorts now all pay randomised gold. A noble won't pay more than a peasant - this is a revert of an earlier change, after reviewing the escort essay on Stratics.
- You now have a chance of obtaining platinum when completing an escort.
Items
- The way the shepherd's crook looks has been corrected. Previously it was using the item ID that vendors use for display. All previous shepherd's crooks will be loaded with the new graphic.
- The taxidermy kit is no longer available and any previously bought taxidermy kits no longer function. Tanners will buy them back for full price.
- The orcish kin mask no longer spawns on orcs. Previously found Orcish Kin masks will remain in the game, however their utility has been removed (Orcs will still attack you if you wear one). These have been replaced with the old style, regular coloured orc mask, which previously wasn't a loot type.Neither the old nor new mask will "blow up" if you are attacked by an Orc.
Tinkering
- When an item is trapped by a tinker, the tinker is now responsible for harm incurred by the box, in most situations.
- If the trapped box is opened through snooping, there is no damage source of the trap and the tinker is not responsible.
- If the trapped item is opened on the floor of a house that the tinker is at least friended to, the tinker is in no way responsible. This includes being in sub-containers inside a house.
- Otherwise, if the box kills or harms an innocent player, the tinker is responsible and will receive the relevant penalties, such as being flagged criminal (and guard-whackable) and can be given a murder count. Normal notoriety rules apply.
- Previously trapped boxes will not have a damage source, as it is not possible to retroactively link these (there's no flag saved on the box saying who trapped it).
- Tinkers can now trap any type of lockable chest. This includes treasure chests and town chests. Normal penalties apply to the tinker if harm is done.
Cooking
- The old cooking system has been phased out. Rolling pins, skillets and flour sifters are no longer obtainable. Old cooking tools will no longer function on double click. Cooking is no longer difficulty based, cooking any item has the same chance of success/failure, which is equal to that of your skill level.
- A guide has been taken from Stratics, and adapted to remove era bugs. We are not replicating the bugs. Please see the guide on our wiki here: https://uolostlands.com/wiki/index.php?title=Cooking
- Fields in Britain, outside of Skara and south of Yew, now have the same farmable crops as appears in the demo. This includes: cabbage, turnip, carrots, wheat, onions and cotton. There are surprisingly very many of these in each field, however respawn takes a while.
Misc
- Various description/message changes based on era screenshots. These kind of things will probably happen all the time and I will probably not bother mentioning them in future patch notes.
- The chance of bridal NPCs and jewellers carrying sandals has been increased.

Lockpicking/stealing range [Not Accurate] |

Would it be possible to very slightly increase the range of lockpicking/stealing from containers? For instance, in places like provisioners, if there is a double row of boxes, the back row cannot be picked or stolen from. If the range could be increased by just the depth of one more box/barrel, then we could access these containers.

Razor problem |

Last night, my Last Object hotkey quit working. Had it set to F9, while trying to mine. I double click my shovel, then target the ground in mine. Afterwards hit F9, click ground, repeat. Well last night, hitting F9 did nothing. So I changed the hotkey to F7, still nothing. I re logged, nothing, then hard booted, still nothing. Other hockey's for spells and healing with bandages are working, just not last object. Also after awhile I started getting a message, while trying to mine, you cannot bandage this.
Another problem I experienced today, before playing on this server I played on UO Forever for a week. That server and yours both use Razor. Until today I would dclick The UO Forever icon on my screen, then the Razor gumpwould open, where I can choose which server to login to. Then UO login would pop up, insert acct name and password, then play. Today, clicking on the UO Forever icon, it goes straight to UO login in screen, then in to your game. I can no longer choose a login server.

Unable to use a locked down key ring |

My understanding is that you should be able to use a key on a ring even though the ring has been locked down. As a house owner, I'm receiving the message that I'm unable to access it once I've locked it down. Is that intentional?
