Due to scheduling and sign-up issues, I've decided to revamp the Protege Tournament into something more open to all players. The Tournament will now be broken into two brackets: Adept and Expert.
Any player may enter into the Expert bracket; however, enter at your own risk. The intent for this bracket is to have unrestricted entry, whether you're a pvp god or brand new to the server.
In order to enter into the Adept bracket, you must meet the following conditions:
Be sponsored by an established UOLL pvper. Note: there is no restriction to the number of players sponsored by an established UOLL pvper; AND
Have an account less than one year old, OR
Known as a non-pvper, ORBe an established pvper entering under a new pvp template of which they are not experienced.
The Tournament will be as follows:
There will be three (3) scored events: (1) Red Pot Duel, (2) All Pots, No Magic Item Duel, and (3) Anything Goes Duel.
The first two fights will take place at the Swole Zone Keep Arena, East of Vesper.
All participants will enter the keep as a ghost and will stock from supplies provided (please dm TKE MFO in discord with supply requests)
The last fight will take place in world at a location disclosed during the tournament.
Scoring:
A 1v1 bracket will be created at random for each bracket and for each fight type.
If the bracket has more than 10 players, points will be awarded for the top three (3) places, top two (2) otherwise.
At the end of all fights, the total points winner will be the tournament champion for their bracket and will be awarded a trophy (better shard reward if participants are high), as well as some goodies personally provided by me.
Optional 2v2 Entry:
There will also be an optional format (depending on participation and prior signup) where one (1) Adept participant and one (2) Expert participant will enter as a team.
Rewards will vary depending on participation.
Please sign up in this thread or dm TKE MFO in Discord for entry. The event will take place next Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 8:30pm CST. If scheduling is an issue, please message me and we can find a more suitable time for all participants.
I think that adding a second trash barrel for homes would greatly benefit the shard and players both.
How often have you had to run to the other side of your castle or run to the first floor of your tower because you wanted to trash some items but your trash barrel is already placed elsewhere?
Allowing a 2nd would save players time and also encourage people to toss items in there if they are in closer vicinity rather than on the other side of the home.
Less items in the world means less lag and less server stress.
Not to mention how many of us have found IDOCS with chests full of JUNK? it would benefit all of us to consider a 2nd trash barrel for homes... Even if just for multi-level homes.
The top egg collector this year was God with 1481 eggs. Congrats God!
2nd: The Doctor with 350 eggs
3rd: REDEMPTION with 334 eggs
The winner of the special hued Easter Bunny Statue drawing was figured out by putting the names of all of this year's participants into a randomizer with the winner being whoever landed at the top.
Jeannie is the winner!
I will contact all prize winners to organize the delivery of their rewards!
God: First place trophy
The Doctor: Second place trophy
REDEMPTION: Third place trophy

The meat has turned! Everything for that matter at The Blue Boar in the city of Britain just can't seem to stay fresh. All of the employees are sick & the tavern keeper Naeem has asked for assistance in solving this mysterious constant spoiling of their provisions.

After reports of mutated creatures in the Britain sewers, it has now been discovered that the mages at The Sorcerer's Delight accidentally spilled what was left in their cauldron from last year into their moat. "It is only a coincidence that the accident occurred just one day before the moat was scheduled to be drained and refilled with fresh water!", stated Guildmaster Evander.

1. Stable refresh back to 14 days to match housing. It was this way early on in server and I think this could help when players are taking a break and refreshing houses. This came to mind as I am now going through the process of taming a new fleet of dragons after keeping houses and two boats refreshed for two years while minimally playing.
2. Event changes. I would get rid of non free use DD type events. I would like to see the return of the anything goes tournaments. Some of us can only fight with loaded up dex monkeys.
3. Label treasure maps to the plainly, adeptly etc. This would increase buying and selling of Tmaps when you know what you are buying.
4. A free use dueling arena. No idea if that is possible but it could lead to new players trying pvp more if they don't lose resources. I only put this here because I saw someone in discord ask about it and thought it might not be a bad idea.
5. Last thought for the moment and again no idea on if it is doable. I think there should be a PVP shard champion that is current. So for example you have the first tournament to crown the champion. Not sure if something like a title belt exists in the UO world that could be blessed and they could wear on their toon if not maybe a special hue sash. Once champion is set then the following week the tournament winner would become number 1 contender. The champion could be present and fight to defend title that night or following the week after. Real life can get in way so give champion two weeks to defend prior to them vacating title. So after a no 1 is established the next tourney would then be next in line and should champion get vacated then no1 and no2 would fight for title/sash. Could even have it on website showing off undisputed Uoll champion Yakka(this would be only time and place it would ever say that name). Not saying get rid of rankings but this or something similar at least acknowledges champion that is currently at least semi active.
Just throwin some stuff out there and please no need for any Trumpian responses thank you.
