I have combined all the older "rules" threads into one all-inclusive thread to attempt for there to be as few questions as possible regarding what is allowed and not.  We are a growing shard, and creative minds that are bent on pushing and bending the limits of the rules have joined us, which is why this reposting and consolidation is necessary.  With that said, staff reserves the right add new rules as new situations arise.

DISCORD:

• Advertising for other shards is not condoned. You are free to talk about other shards, but suggesting that someone else play another shard or obvious advertising is not.
  
• Telling someone to "leave the server" is completely unacceptable and will also not be tolerated in game.
  
• Be respectful towards other players. Repeated targeting and badmouthing of players is unacceptable.
  
• Be respectful toward staff. This shard is totally free of charge and donation rewards. Staff put in their free time to make UO Lost Lands a fun place to play.
  
• If you have an issue with another player, take it up in private message. Do not bicker about it in the main channel.
  
• Nicknames targeted toward harassment or badmouthing another player are not acceptable, this is harassment.
  
• Threatening to "leave the shard" if demands are not met to staff or other players in channel is grounds for instant dismissal from Discord.
  
• Scamming through the public channel in Discord or via a public forum post is not permitted. If ALL negotiations are done in private and public posts are not utilized at all, this is legal (because there is no way to enforce a private message), so in that situation, buyer beware.
  
• Impersonation of other players or staff will result in instant dismissal.
  
• Staff reserve the right to ban idiots.  The decision to kick/ban players from the network is entirely at staff discretion.
  
• Staff do not enforce or investigate anything that is said in a PM between players, unless the person is breaking the impersonation rule.  If you are being harassed in a PM, block the person.
  
• There is a new permissions group to Discord called "Channel Muted", which will be for soft/temporary bans.  People in this group will not be able to speak in the main channel #uolostlands, but will still be able to private message and talk in #uollpvp.  People will be placed in this group when they are being a disruption to the main channel.  There has been a lot of anti social behavior in Discord recently and we'd like to stomp this out as it is entirely unwelcoming to new players.
  
• Ban evasion can result in termination of your in game accounts.
  

• Maximum amount of 3 accounts per player. Additional accounts will be banned, unless there is a documented exception.  If you have more than one person playing from your household and want additional accounts, you must talk to staff first, not AFTER you have made the additional accounts.
  
• Unattended macroing is okay. What is not okay, is the unattended gathering of resources.
  
• Unattended gathering of resources in the game is illegal. This includes mining, lumberjacking, sheep shearing, picking cotton and fishing (It is okay to fish unattended from land).  First offense will be a warning, second temporary, third will be a permanent ban.
  
• Players must use the official UO client. Non EA/OSI clients are disallowed.
  
• Houses decay in 14 days if not refreshed.  Boats are on the same timer.
  
• Scripting with any other tool than Razor is illegal.
  
• Carpet Bombing:  If you place enough items in a carpet bomb to cause client crashes, you must clean it up to a manageable level where it will no longer cause a client crash.  When you do this, it causes staff to have to respond and clean up the carpet bomb, which is entirely a waste of our time.  Starting from now, if you fail to follow this rule, your accounts will temporarily banned as punishment. This shard does not make money, the staff here are entirely volunteers doing this in our free time, and we do not have time to deal with matters that can easily be avoided by using common sense.
  
• Real Money Trading, Cross-Shard Trading, and UOLL Policy on it:  This is not condoned. Frankly, I don't care if you do it, but if any scam takes place, you are entirely at fault and we will not get involved at all.  It's against the rules but it will not be actively punished or enforced, the only punishment will be your own folly.  Posting publicly, talking publicly about it in game or in Discord about a real money trade or scam, whether you were the perpetrator or the victim, will result in a ban for YOU.  We don't want to know and do not want to get involved.  Cross shard trading will simply be ignored by staff.
  
• AFK RESOURCE GATHERING:  If you are found to be scripting or AFK harvesting on Lost Lands, the following will happen:
  
  
  1. First Offense is a warning and confiscation of resources. There will be no arguing what resources are valid to take - you are breaking the rules.
     
  2. Second offense will result in a ban time for 24 hours, and confiscation of resources.
     
  3. Continued offenses will either result in extended jail time, temporary bans, and of course confiscation of resources. On the third offense your achievement progress in all harvest related achievements will be wiped, and you will never again be eligible to receive achievement progress in these on any of your accounts.
     

• It is not fair on anyone to AFK resource gather or to raise your skills in a manner Razor is not otherwise capable of. AFK resource harvesting is never okay, regardless of whether you use Razor to do it or not. Time spent policing players who wish to indulge in these activities directly take time away from staff's work on more important things (like bettering the shard, and creating content for you).  UO Lost Lands has a harvest tracking system which allows us to very easily see who is harvesting, how long they have been harvesting, and how many resources they have acquired. If you AFK harvest, you will be caught and it will not take long for you to be caught either. You have been warned and there will be no sympathy for offenders.

Quick and dirty walk through of razor macros. If things are unclear just post some questions and I'll edit it accordingly.

Windows key + E will bring up file explorer (WIN+E).


In the navigation window enter:
%APPDATA%/Razor/Macros
This will take you to the correct macros folder.



From here you can edit an existing macro or create a new one. To create a new macro, right click in any white space in the explorer window and select "New" > "Text Document":



Rename the new document from "New Text Document.txt" to "NAME.macro", where NAME is whatever you want to call the macro (this is the name Razor will display in the Macros tab):



Click yes on the confirmation box:



You can now open the file and paste macros from the forum in to it:


If you create a macro while Razor is running, you will have to go to the Macros tab in razor, right click the macro list, and select "Refresh Macro List". 


If you edit an existing macro while Razor is running, you will have reload it before it can be used. Go to the Macros tab in razor, find and select the macro, right click in the Actions window for that macro, and select "Reload":



If you edit a macro with razor running and close razor without reloading the macro there is a chance razor will overwrite your changes. It's best to edit macros while razor is NOT running until you get used to the way this works.

To show my appreciation towards shard growth I wish to display a bit of generosity towards my fellow UOLL players. I have decided to hold a player event in the forms of a house drop. New to the server and coming back to the game after many years away, so forgive me if I'm missing something simple, but have been playing a bit, gaining combat skills and healing, Anatomy has not moved at all.

I started Anatomy at 50 and have even tried using the skill manually quite a bit to no avail.

Any help greatly appreciated!

When I craft shovels I get a message that some are exceptional. Once in my bag they all read a as non eceptional. I tested the durability on a normal shovel vs one that at least said it was eceptional on my craft menu. Both were dropped on my vendor & the default prices were identical

Just got done with a double dom event where as soon as I left event gate to go to wbb I was orange to saber and vice versa. I didn't heal anyone in a warred guild and my character isn't in a guild. I will assume i flagged from in DD where I was healing warred guilds. Look into this jack?
