By forget guild alliances I mean I'd like each team to fight individually and not unite to gang up on certain groups etc just for the event. Please do not give out murder counts, I will try to have pets set up to flag on, but it by no means is perfect so do not be surprised if you end up with a count or two.

Disrupters will be banned from the keep, I will be in voice in Lost Lands discord throughout the event.

  Is Veterinary worth it?
Posted by: ramjet - 04-01-2019, 04:45 AM - Forum: New Player Questions - Replies (4)

On my old shard, I just used to use greater heal spells to heal my dragons. Yes, you need regs. Yes, you can run out of mana, but I saw veterinary did not heal much more than a greater heal even with GM animal lore, plus greater heal can be used at a distance, is instant and has no chance of failure like using bandages.

But, I don't know how much it heals on this shard, does anyone know how much it heals, if you could your drags a few times and see how much thier life points when up with animal lore.

How do get all pets on one tile
Posted by: ramjet - 04-01-2019, 02:55 AM - Forum: New Player Questions - Replies (1)

I'm told you can gate them all to the bow of a ship if you have them all on follow after you put them in the stable. Is this the only way to? What about a tile in the corner of a house? Also, do they have to be on one tile when you actually put them in the stable, how do you do that?

  Guide for Granite (Masonry/Stonecrafting)
Posted by: Grofus - 03-21-2019, 12:05 AM - Forum: Guides - Replies (1)

Hello fellow Lost Landers!

I just wanted to post a short guide to the basics of the new Masonry system.  I am sure there are more things coming to this system but this should get you guys going. You will need GM Carpentry and Mining is preferred as well.

The first thing you will need to do is purchase a chisel set from the local Tinker NPC.

If you try to use this tool it will tell you that you havent learned masonry yet.

You can find this book on the obsidian vendor at Lord British Castle.

Once you learn masonry it will require a miner and a stone pickaxe in order to collect the granite needed to make items.

Let's try and make a Valorite hued Stone Chair!

Each pickaxe has 15 standard charges.  These can normally be purchased from the same vendor you buy the book from. *currently not available on the npc, and have to purchase from a gm*  A prospecting tool can help you locate the specific ore you are looking for.  These tools are low end blacksmithing bod rewards.  Please note that not every piece of granite that you mine up with be the color you seek out.  There is a chance of it being that color or normal iron.

Now that you have all 4 valorite granite needed to craft the item, it will be time to make it.  You can see the necessary carpentry needed to make this item, so it is recommended to have a gm carpenter or very high level so that your chance to fail is reduced.

Use the chisel set with the granite in your bag and make the item on the menu.  If you succeed the item will be crafted.  Viola!!!!  Enjoy your new chair!

I hope this beginner's guide to masonry has helped get you going and enjoy your new high end craftable items!

  WTS 143 plat
Posted by: ramjet - 03-20-2019, 10:22 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (2)

As, I need gold right now. Or, maybe I should just get more plat and buy a hanging armor, if that sells for 1 mil gold, or 3 mil not sure.

Haven't decided on a price for each plat yet, have to see what people are willing to pay.

  50-GM 45 hours taming guide
Posted by: ramjet - 02-19-2019, 06:09 AM - Forum: Guides - No Replies

Here's a guide to GMing taming, that's not totally original, but may work better than some of the others ones I've seen. I managed to GM taming in 45 hours of real time. Here's the link, but I'll be adding some of my own notes/information that may help you.

http://forums.uosecondage.com/viewtopic....ow#p211090

Keep in mind, if you have a 50 taming (you should create your toon with it, if you are serious about GMing taming faster, though you could do it from 0, but this guide focuses on 50-GM) and an 100 intelligence (which you can easily get by herding- for this you'll have to raise your skillcap to 700, put herding up, and the rest locked- herding will not go up, but you will STILL get gains to your stats, all of your stats, with continued herding) you can START at the compassion shrine as your taming will be around 59 adjusted with your intelligence and you'll be able to tame the creatures there. You'll want to dual client with the compassion shrine and hoppers bog. Put the taming toon near the ankh of the compassion shrine and tame across the water to the left, with the hoppers bog put your toon up on a ledge somewhere as none of the creatures can attack from a distance.

With your other toon, what you will want to do is gather the creatures for your tamer to tame, have them chase after you and bring them, across the water (in the case of the compassion shrine) or below the ledge-in hoppers bog. With hoppers bog have some swamp tentacles as well, as they can not be tamed and as soon as you successfully tame a creature, the other untamed creatures will attack it. You want the giant frogs to respawn, same with the tameable creatures at the compassion shrine, have earth elementals as well, so they will them for them to respawn. You can gain skill with any tameable creatures (as far as I know) as long as you don't get the message "That wasn't even challenging" It will also help to use the teleport spell as there are many ledges/hit spots here and it's easier to just teleport up to them rather than try to find the ramps (which can be hard to see)

Now, when you start to tame hell hounds, you can do it the way the thread poster in the link suggests. However, there is another way to do, I find easier, despite needing 2 other toons logged in to do it, which you will need to have GM hiding with, or least high enough of a hiding skill that it almost always works (provided you aren't near mob, that is, of course)

[Image: e8f97516-3d70-4626-b0df-7e9355286aee-ori...fit=bounds]

The above pic is Hythloth, with the hand pointing the specific room it is on the map and you'll need the two hiders to block the entranceway, put them RIGHT in the entranceway, though it may work to put them one tile north or south of it, but you'll two blockers. Once they are hidden, the hell hounds will not be able get past them and you can tame through the invisible toons. But, just let me remind you that the hell hounds do breathe fire and can and will hit you with it, you'll need to heal your tamer periodically, either with greater heal spells, or bandages. The hell hounds only spawn as a group, once all them in that room are dead, they will either almost instantly, or after several minutes respawn all at a time.

[Image: 890ef431-0fc7-45a5-9adb-708c97077eda-ori...fit=bounds]

Above is another place you can visit in the T2A lost lands fire dungeon (there is a rune on a ship near Delucia) Here you only use one toon as a tamer, with the toon that brings you your tames, so I'm told, instead of 3. However, I didn't have the best experience with it. I'm told it is a "safe spot" but I have seen some mobs on the two tiles you can stand on here.  You will need another toon to bring over the hell hounds. You will get think gargoyles and orc mages that can attack you, the space is very cramped for the person luring over the tames and I died several times. I'd still rather go with the hythloth method, but if you know something I don't about how to better tame here, let me know.

Here's the play by play breakdown of how long it took me to get to GM in real time. Keep in mind, I didn't know how to use my power hour, so that's why I only used it in the last 2 segments.

1.       3h, 59.0-66.0 compassion shrine

2.       3h 15 min, 66.0-77.1, compassion shrine
3.       6h 50 min, 77.1-85.0, hoppers bog
4.       1h 30min, 85.0-87.2, all of the rest Hythloth Hell hounds, room pictured
5.       4h, 87.2-90.0
6.       2h, 90.0-91.5
7.       3h 15min, 91.5-93.0
8.       7h 45min, 93.0-95.1
9.       6h 30min 95.2-97.3
10.   5h 45min, 97.3-99.7, with power hour used
11.   35min, 99.6-100.00, with power hour used

Gaining weapons skills and tactics guide- does this work here?
Posted by: ramjet - 02-12-2019, 05:51 AM - Forum: Guides - Replies (1)

Fighter training instructions.

1. Hire a fighter from Jhelom
2. Put them Behind a table
3. Say "all stay"
4. Go to the other side of the table
5. Say "all guard me"
6. Use the hiding skill or invisiblity spell on yourself- this will cause the NPC to leave war mode
7. Enter War mode
8. Click and Drag the NPC to bring up the name bar
9. Double Click the name bar, in war mode
10. Move next to the NPC hireling- this will end your invisibility
11. Double Click to attack the NPC hireling- they will not attack you backall sta`aall guard

It appears I am at least sometimes getting hit using this method, the merc is attacking me, but for some reason infrequently, not as much as I hit them. So, it looks like I need to healers.

I use 4 tables, put them in a corner in a house (with me in it as well) do steps 3-10, though I must move a table to get in there and either carry it in my backpack, or put it on another tile.
