Spells available from NPC mage shopkeepers |

Another problem this Newbie has experienced:
I visited several town mage shopkeepers, and they all had exactly the same spell scrolls in-stock: each had every single spell of Circles 1-3, and nothing else.
OSI NPCs had varying stock of all Circles 1-7 (but any one vendor's stock was consistent over resets): the lower the Circle, the greater number of different spells the shopkeeper possessed; if you ran all over Britannia, you were virtually guaranteed to find all spells of Circles 1-4, hopefully also 5, and a hodgepodge of 6 & 7 (6, 7 & 8 you could fill from player-vendors, if you could find them, and/or hope to fill-out 6 & 7 with "lucky" NPC replacement respawns, over time).
A very-kind player helped me out of my personal dilemma: I believe it was The Admirable Black of AoS (forgive me if it wasn't! I've gotten some other players/toons mixed-up since my arrival ...); whomever it was, I was permitted to add a small collection of essential Circle 4-7s, and the kind fellow didn't even charge me! That was a lot of help!
Anyway, IMHO, the current situation is hard on new players, and something might want to be done.
I'm just a Stranger.

These are not true to in-era OSI, and I would like to ask if this is intended.
From Patch8 patchnotes,
Quote:Many item price changes. The list of T2A accurate prices is absolutely massive so we will get this done over time. For now, the prices on jewelers are now completely era accurate ...
I have also observed that the shopkeepers lower/raise their prices too fast, but I certainly don't know all of the things that regulate this. On OSI (in 1998-99), one could buy/sell at the best price for 1-3 rounds, then at the next price 1-2 rounds, and then at price-changes every round, until the vendor stopped transacting (ran out of money, bought enough player-made stock, exhausted his current stock); what I've just described is only a general overview and specifics would vary between item-types and shopkeeper-types.
Might I ask that admins investigate this latter allegation; could someone test this on the demo, perhaps?
As a new player here, I am coping with the severely-reduced effort-to-profit ratio these conditions conspire to inflict: I expected to be able to use these trade skills, at newbie skill-levels, to generate "good" newbie-money in order to give my account(s) a financial kick-start ... I've had to do things a little differently, lol: prices on the stuff I sell are so low, and drop so fast, that trying to make any worthwhile money is frustrating. So far as I can tell, the shopkeepers aren't even busy (i.e. I've got no competition, and I'd be even more screwed if I did).
As an aside, I don't recall price-variations from (what I am speculating is) durability, excepting VDP on player-vendors: I am saying that (on OSI, 98/99) if I sold bows to the shopkeeper Blacksmith/Bowyer, he would pay his normal price, or his exceptional price, according to the quality of the item, but the prices did not vary within either category; I presume this is related to the return provided by the getvalue function, but I am sure that such a level of refinement was never live on OSI. Not only is there no reference at all anywhere in Stratics, but players would have used this instead of VDP ...
Anyway, I felt motivated to ask after these specific things.
I'm Stranger (than some).

Introduction Adventurers of Sosaria (AoS) |

Hello everyone,
You probably have seen us around lately. A lot of you guys know our history, but some might not.
We recently moved to Lost Lands from another t2a server. Most of us are UO veterans an have played this game for many years, while others are newer to the game.
On the other t2a server we all were in NEW (New Player Assistance). We helped there the new players and returning vets. We did that there from 21 september 2012 till May 2016 (3 years and 8 months).
Some of us, have been on this server some months ago for a little, in a guild called Gods of Sosaria (Gos). When we moved we changed the name of this guild to Adventurers of Sosaria (AoS).
A lot of you asked if we were willing to do what we did on the other server (helping new players). After some thoughts, we decided to do so (why not do what we love to do and have experience with right?).
Right now we are settling down and getting to know the server. Eventhough Lost Lands is also t2a, there is a lot of new things to learn! We are also in the process of setting up NEW here. Ornithology joined recently the server's Companion program and we already have some new players due to that in guild. When we have set the rules for the new players guild to be, we will ask feedback from the community.
We want to thank you all for the warm welcome we had and for all the help we recieve(d). We found our new home!

Hiding not working properly |

Hello Jack,
I have noticed when trying to hide while being attacked, it starts the timer for when the skill can be used again. I believe this is not accurate to the era. The timer should only start after using the skill and failing to hide or hiding when you are able to. you are not allowed to hide while being attacked so you should be able to re-try immediately until you either fail or succeed naturally.
Example: Being attacked, use skill, cant hide here because of enemy attacking. You run out of range of enemy attacking and should be able to hide without waiting for the skill timer to cool down.
Thank you sir!
