I have seen this on my ventures between yew/vesper/trinsic/brit....
a. ogres/ettins/trolls used to fight eachother (I forget which)..
b. I believe orcs were enemies with one of those 3 as well
c. rat men may have attacked one of those four I forget?
d. harpies I do not know if they had an enemy to attack...
The spawns often seem to be "centralized" to a hot spot. About a 1.5-2 screen size where spiders, orcs, skeletons, zombies, ogres, ettins, trolls etc are consolidated. Then 2-4 full screens of no monsters/spawns and often no goats/animals.
Possibly the spawns are a bit too tightly packed in addition to mechanics of not attacking each other? I havn't made it to t2a yet to see if the spider folks fight the snake folks yet (another enemy group)
I did not see any rat camp spawns with chests, furs , fires, sleeping bags etc.
