The future of UO Lost Lands. - orbit - 03-25-2015 I've always thought the idea of using the Unique Creatures from the era. Things like the black lich, father of the damned, etc. Here's a list:http://i.imgur.com/lbSRGwm.png Maybe something like killing X amount of, for example, lich lords, and a black lich spawns, could giveplayers more of an incentive to go out and grind. You could even tie that into your PvE tracker on the website. The future of UO Lost Lands. - Zig - 03-26-2015 Hi all! I started playing on this shard about 3 weeks back and am really enjoying it. The upcoming patch sounds great. Regarding suggestions above, please no custom housing! I must admit the moongates are confusing, a menu that asked me which other gate I want to travel to would help a lot. Bandages dont bother me much I just macro a bunch whilst doing other things, but is it a game breaker to make it easier? Also would a pvp style event in Brit be possible where you turn guards off for an hour? I remember that being very popular on another shard I played years ago. Quote:Most servers usually either shut down, or stop supporting their shard when this happens. No matter whats happens with the population, I will be doing neither of those. I will continue to add new functionality and events to the shard.I will keep on supporting it and making it a great place to play. Im loving that bit btw. The future of UO Lost Lands. - Mogge - 03-26-2015 "not being able to use blank scrolls for raising cartography. stuff like that makes people sample the server and then leave." I think it took me around 5 days to GM carography from ~30 in skills, it's not that hard. Lockpock is a different story but I like that something actually is challenging. I'm loving the shard and the work that Jack puts in to it but I'm getting bored. We need more people, that's for sure. The future of UO Lost Lands. - Jack - 03-26-2015 Randbo - I don't feel factions would add much, factions are really underused even on shards with much larger populations than we have, not to mention being able to govern towns is a pretty big deal in terms of changing the game. Orbit - I will definitely take inspiration from that list. Zig - The town invasion system will result in the guards being turned off in the town the invasion is running in, so that opens the door to PvP in that town. Mogge - there's not much I can do about population but keep chipping away at the features that I plan to implement. It's been a large journey already (in just 7 months)and there's a lot more to go, I often feel I've barely scratched the surface of things I want to do. I advertise the server when I can but in terms of consistency -voting websites, word of mouth and people organically finding the site (like via Google)are probably always going to top those efforts. We have a website revamp and professional level promo trailer coming up which will hopefully convert more people from viewing the website to actually playing than we have currently. Carto may be a little over the top in comparison to how long I wanted it to take, which I'll tweak a bit with the next patch. The future of UO Lost Lands. - Jasonntn - 03-26-2015 My wife and Ifound this shard via a Google search back in December. We knew this was just the type of serverwe had been looking for, a legitimate t2a experience. So *please* don't remove the authentic t2a moongates. They completely bring back the feel of the era. They encourage new players to explore the shard and learn the map. Moongates weren't elevators in t2a......... The future of UO Lost Lands. - Mogge - 03-26-2015 Jack, yeah I know you can't do anything about it. I'm just saying I got several people to the server and I vote all the time. Hope it will catch on soon! The future of UO Lost Lands. - yakka - 03-26-2015 I vote and I leave my accounts idle 24/7 when I can to help with clients online others may see. I also leave myself in irc because more names in there the better when new folks peek in. This also helps me gain platinum by idling. So win/win. The future of UO Lost Lands. - Randbo - 03-28-2015 i finished carto already, i was complaining for those who havent done it yet. anyways, how about villas and log cabins? RE: The future of UO Lost Lands. - rows - 05-16-2015 Been playing here for a while. Here are some upgrades that would make this game more interesting and enjoyable for me: 1) Vendor jobs (something like BOD's = make certain amount of item X and get as a reward money/coloured cloth/coloured ore etc. (Strict NO to horrible glitterhues!!) 2) Some borrowings from other eras like UOR/AOS Weapons / Items / ? (Small things that wouldn't ruin T2A feeling but would make this shard more special) 3) Rare mounts with random spawns (Unicorn, Savage Ridgeback, Ki-Rin etc.) 4) Different rare hides and ores These are just my personal thoughts so don't be too offensive RE: The future of UO Lost Lands. - Jack - 05-17-2015 I'm not opposed to the vendor jobs or additional crafting resources, those 2 will go hand in hand if a BOD system is introduced (which has been planned, no particular date). Additional weapon effects I'm not really sure about - the strongest weapons here are already very strong, but additional slayer weapons could serve to make dexers more interesting in PvM. Additional mounts are a no go, though I've considered adding a super rare mount to the nightmare spawns, such as the silver/dark steeds, which I believe was a rare mount prior to T2A. http://www.uorares.com/Database/ItemCatalog/silversteed.php |
