Ideas for the way forward

this fix was implemented for town invasions though was it not? i really dont see the issue and also @ Yitamin you can still train up pets skills but base stats i dunno man as it stands dragon when fully trained is more powerful the wyrms benefit from higher magery etc from start. anyway not bitching or being a dick this is a t2a server after all just has a mix of uor for crafters farmers something most shards never thought about doing jacks done good here and this shard deserves to be recognised night Big Grin

i always thought if the EG spawn was not so berserk that would help a lot.. no need to nerf tamers just maybe some of the spawns they frequent lol

Some idea's:

1. Give an option to purchase poker vendors via the plat system or other means. (As well as other npcs and vendors. Nothing crazy like bankers of course)

2. Add a few more spawn points for certain mobs and/or adjust the timers for respawn rates. Ie, white wyrms.

3. Add new monster types for TI's and/or make other automated events such as random monster + boss spawns across the maps.

4. More automated or gm run quests & events such as:
Scavenger hunts
Find the random npc (maybe bring him an object he asks for and be rewarded)
Crafting Contests
Survival type events (naked players stuck somewhere having to work together to reach a goal
Monster or animal tame duels with player betting.

5. Adjust the drop %'s for a few items (bridals for example, lower back down).

6. More real time statistics for various things to be listed on the website that players do/gather/earn/or achieve in game.

7. A "Share Now" Option in the [motd gump that links directly to the uoll website, for easy embedding into facebook, linkedin, reddit, digthis, stumbleupon etc.

8. Player rewards for UNIQUE new player referrals who are active in game for x many hours & days. (If not plat, then maybe a point or coupon system you can redeem for prizes).

9. The ability to place small houses atop towers, castles, keeps. (Don't know if you could do this without having to change the ability to place upon non player homes as well.)

10. Tele guards that chase you down for 453534 screens and don't have a 100% success hit rate Wink

11. More plat reward items such as house lock down limit increases, max friend limit increase, secures

12. Change the moongates from the current pre-t2a random destination to a gump pop up with a menu choice.

13. Fix item id's for newly potted plants. (When you cntl+shift they are displayed as a bowl of lettuce and a bowl of potatos)

14. Increase teleport range 1 tile.

15. Populate the shard with hire able npcs. (These don't currently exist?)

16. More forms of gambling aside from poker (Poker is great jack, but consider slots, hi/low/random numbers. Gives players more choices at games).

17. Set the properties for decorative static containers to allow players to store items. (Set a decay timer to reduce server lag).

18. Allow players to remove the books from bookcases that spawn on the shard. (Some people would like to create libraries for rping and deco)

19. Fix the Open runebook bug. (When your runebook is in your bank box and open, you can leave the bank with the runebook still open and use it.)

20. Fix npc escort ai. (Sometimes when attacked they just freeze and do nothing).

21. Change or remove the real estate brokers items for sale. (Currently they sell blank scrolls.)

22. Make mobs provokable to bs and ev's.

23. Fix the spawn point for the Occlo baker npc. (Spawns outside of shop)

I love #10!!!

the crafting contest would be awesome if they Jack could maybe make an automated one? reward be like- random BoD? i'm sure that'd be difficult as hell, basically make it like filling a BoD but timed, first to finish wins? Would Be interesting to say the least.

This is planned, as well as poker tournaments. Really I just need to design a way for players to have control over their poker dealers, and set up their own tables. An easier option to this is probably just to get GMs to set them up for a fee as coding a whole system for this probably isn't worth the time when only a handful of people would ever purchase them.

No plans to add more "normal mob" spawn points, but additional mini bosses are planned to add in.

Been a while since the last new monster TI was added, I'll have a think for some additional types to add.

Definitely. With less things to work on day to day, I'll have more time for adding events/quests.

Black sandal drops were nerfed in the last patch because there are many more existing pairs than planned. There are very few specifically hued bridals though, not sure if they need nerfing.

Not really sure what you mean by this. How does this offer any benefit over just copy pasting our website address to those places?

Maybe. I'm not very convinced it would help though.

Nope.

I'm sure this was fixed at some point but but broke again. I've spent some time looking into it and it wasn't immediately obvious why, as the correct names do seem to be sent to the client. Maybe it was never fixed and I imagined it. I know that enabling AoS in RunUO fixes it immediately as this is a function of "object property lists".

They do, mostly in the Jhelom pits. There are also paladins you can hire from Delucia. However there should be all kinds of hirable NPCs wandering around town. I'll get around to these eventually, I hope.

Possibly, I'll keep an eye on the popularity of poker. If interest in poker wanes then it probably isn't worth spending a lot of time implementing things like Blackjack.

Do you mean the containers in town? I tried putting stuff in these on the demo a while ago and you get a message something along the lines of "That isn't your container, you can't store things there".

You can steal them.

IIRC this is an OSI accurate bug

I'll take a look on the demo, I think you're right they shouldn't have these.

I think for tamers, add an adjustable semi-aggressive feeding schedule (ie the more pets you are controlling, the more the more often they want to eat) to make it annoying to feed obscene number of pets to keep their loyalty up - to adding mass curse to wyrms (as I believe is era) will fix the turret issues enough to not totally nerf the class. Just my .02, and yes I had a tamer when I played here.

Assuming WWs do not attack their red owners on sight, since they do not breathe fire it might be a good idea to add Mass Curse to WWs before some one runs around pwning the hell out of folks with a red WW tamer, or something.
