I personally feel that we should have the option to start them ourselves as well, via the Champion alters. This would allow for greater control/flexibility for people and their RL schedules and differing timezones. I hear a lot of people both NA and Euro who can't attend because they're: asleep, at work, changing diapers, cooking/eating dinner and generally living life.
I know there isn't a virtue system set up, so some way of being able to activate an alter would need to be thought up.
This would allow guilds/groups of friends to run private or public events.
This would be a good attraction for pvm players thinking about coming to the shard.
