Animals in houses

It's been so long since I've play T2A, I can't recall whether or not wild animals would despawn if they were herded into a house. Basically, if I'm a tailor, can I keep a few sheep in my house for shearing?

Pretty sure the animal will despawn if left in the house for too long but im not 100% sure about that.

Untame animals in houses are specifically marked for removal. If left untame for 20 hours inside a house, it will be removed. To avoid the creature being removed, it must be tame at the time a check takes place for animal/loyalty decay. This happens once every 5 minutes
