Platinum and how it's obtained

i know it is given to you for playing on the server for extended periods of time, but is there any other way to get it? If so how do you obtain it? Apologies for poor spelling, auto correct hates me.

In addition to just clocking game time, you can get platinum from events, and as drop from monsters. In general, the harder the monster, the more likely it is to drop platinum.

It can also be obtained from escorts, Tmaps, dungeon chests, MiBs and camp spawns.


Events give plat at the following rates:

• Win Bagball: 1 plat (each winner receives)
  
• Win CTF: 1 plat (each winner receives)
  
• Win Survival: Trophy worth 4 platinum.
  
• Win a Tournament: Based on teams entered, minimum 2 plat trophy, max 20.

Any idea on what monsters have a chance to drop it?

Almost everything, I'll be updating the Bestiary when I have time, to include the platinum drop rate of each monster.
