Full Version: Character stuck on one tile dead in Brit

While looting another one my characters body in guard zone I got whacked and still had an item in my cursor so when i went to the spirit healer I could not click accept on the gump so it just has me frozen in that position so I help stucked to brit logged out and back in and my character is stuck on one tile dead.
Upon logging back into the game the cursor no longer has the pouch stuck on it so maybe someone can give me a rez and I can hit accept now?
If someone could toss me a rez it would be greatly appreciated my character is right above the Unicorns Horn in east brit.
Moving this to bug reports since the issue has been solved for you.
This happened due to the fact that you resurrected, setting the CantWalk flag to true, but never pressed any button to confirm or deny, so CantWalk never got triggered to be false again. There needs to be an additional check somewhere to check if the player has lost their res gump. I will get this fixed in the next patch.
The issue is splitted into two parts.


1) If you die holding a item it are supposed to drop to ground then you dieor you would be able to save all your items in a bag if you are stuck in a dungeon and kill yourself. (it might only happen on a one hit kill, aka guard whacked.)


2) The dead thingdid also happen on OSI servers,the issue was resolved then you relog your character.


My guess is that they did a check in login processto see if your character was dead and not in the Jail area.A alive character could have been frozen by a gamemaster.

- Question: In what era could we run throw the town with a guard after us that would kill us in two hits if we stopped running. The guards in that time spawned 5-10 tiles away from the bad player and started to run to him. Wasent that in T2A? or was it later?

This should have been resolved in the last patch. Has this happened to you since then, or are you speculating on the reasons behind it? If it has happened to you, please PM me your character/account info (user name). I'll fix it for you as soon as possible and take another look into the issue. Technically speaking, when you log in now, there are 2 extra things that take place that didn't before: the question menu is set to false and CantWalk is set to false.


Guards were insta kill during this era, however the way they currently function isn't exactly right, it gets the same job done. There was a short period during UO:R in which guards did not insta kill, it was quickly reverted however. It's possible there was a point before our time period that guards did not insta kill, I'm not sure.
